By Karin Krause Nearly 50% of Americans now report troubling feelings of loneliness.   42% of Millenial women are more afraid of loneliness than a Cancer diagnosis. Very young children describe feeling sad, alone and fearful. And, unfortunately, loneliness is not removed by being physically near people. Early in my nursing career I observed older adults crowded together in a nursing home–with their heads hanging low and their eyes closed.
