Volunteer
Over 300 individuals of all ages come out each year to volunteer at Hope & A Future. We are truly a community being built by a community! Volunteers have helped maintain our 5.5 acre property filled with gardens, walking paths and wild areas. We also have a volunteer crafters, musicians, carpenters, cleaners, and professions who help with development and upkeep of our home and work toward the next phase of development.
Interested in joining our volunteer community? We welcome individuals and groups of any age and ability level. There are a wide variety of tasks that our volunteers assist with from yard work, skilled construction, grant writing, event planning, and much more. After hearing Karin’s story, I had a desire to be a part of H&F and felt it was where God wanted me to serve. Part of a community is working together – I think that is what God intended. I like being a part of the community at H&F and getting to know others involved.
– Mike
I volunteer in memory of my other and other residents who have lived at H&F in the past and who died there with great care and dignity. By volunteering I continue contact with wonderful staff and residents who bring me as much joy as I hope to bring them.
– Michelle ( daughter of past resident)
I volunteer because every time I walk through the door at H&F I feel love. Because they transformed my mother into a butterfly and gave us 6 more years of life with her. I volunteer because they are real people, living real lives, and in the midst of it, creating a worthwhile world for generations to share.
– Sandra (daughter of past resident)
The time I spend volunteering at H&F is sacred. I feel uplifted every time I’m there whether I am working on a project alone or with other awesome volunteers!
